When we started Teens Launch Africa, the goal was simple: to help young people gain digital skills and the confidence to use them. What began as a small idea has grown into a movement that now spans schools, communities, and volunteers across different states.
With that growth came reflection. We’ve evolved, our work has expanded, and our impact is reaching new spaces. It only felt right that our name evolved too.
Introducing IDEAT Africa
We’re excited to share that Teens Launch Africa is now IDEAT Africa- Initiative for Digital Education and Access for Teens.
This new name tells our story better. It captures what we do, what we believe in, and the future we’re building. IDEAT Africa represents innovation, access, and opportunity for every young person who dreams of being part of the digital world.
What This Change Matters
Our mission hasn’t changed. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. We remain committed to making digital education accessible to all teens, especially in places where opportunities are limited.
We’re still passionate about inspiring creativity, confidence, and leadership in Africa’s next generation. This change marks a new beginning for us: a step toward greater impact, clearer goals, and wider reach.

As we take this step forward, we’re deeply grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey- our volunteers, mentors, and partners who’ve supported us through every phase.
The name may be new, but the heart behind our work remains the same. Together, we’ll continue to equip young people with digital skills, strengthen communities, and shape Africa’s digital future.
